Abby Dow
Rugby mad would sum up the Dow family. Red Roses back Abby has added to the exploits of her brother Chris, a Maidenhead player until injury curtailed his career, and sister Ruth, who appeared for Maidenhead, Reading, Wasps and England Women. Abby made her England debut in 2017 against Canada, where she showed an art for finishing, scoring five tries in her first two appearances. She also starred in the successful 2020 Six Nations campaign, scoring four tries in three matches. She suffered a broken leg in the 2022 Six Nations match against Wales but made her recovery ahead of the Rugby World Cup the same year, where she was a key member of the squad that reached the final against the Black Ferns. In 2023, Abby won both the Six Nations and the inaugural WXV tournament in New Zealand later that year. She was part of the 2024 Six Nations side that won the Grand Slam and later that year the WXV1 tournament in Canada.
