Education and Access for Camberley Rugby Club

Fundraising campaign launched

Camberley Rugby Club have been hard at work over the past three years making improvements at their Watchetts Park clubhouse and providing educational help for their community. Now, having launched a Crowdfunding campaign to raise £15,000, they want to take it to the next level.

That includes adding a lift to the first-floor educational areas to improve access, improving existing educational areas and the match day and special event experience, providing changing facilities expected for a club of their standing and modernising their kitchen.

Camberley Rugby Club provides rugby for boys and girls of all ages as well as senior men’s and women’s rugby, with a flourishing academy for boys aged 15 – 18.

Andy Edge, sponsorship lead for the club said: “The hard work and improvements made to our clubhouse over the past three years has given us the ability to provide educational facilities, support rugby activities and expand our catering opportunities.

“Looking at our future, we are aiming to dramatically improve our educational facilities, making them more accessible to our wider community, further improving catering and bar facilities and increasing changing room capabilities to support the diverse groups who play and visit our rugby club.”

Club chair Steve O'Meara said: “We are grateful for any donation from individuals and businesses in the local area and beyond who want to give back and develop much-needed educational facilities for our young people in Camberley."
