How your rugby community can watch England Rugby for free this autumn

England's Quilter Internationals and all of the Autumn Nations Cup will be streamed online via Amazon Prime.

The RFU have been working with Amazon to provide an opportunity for fans to take advantage of a free one-month trial with Amazon Prime so you can watch England Rugby for free during the tournament, while also supporting your club.

To help grassroots clubs generate revenue, Amazon are also opening-up registration for clubs to become Amazon Associates.

The club will receive £3 for every member of the community who signs up to Amazon through the club’s unique Associates link.

The registration process takes just 5-10 minutes.

This money will be paid directly to the club and whilst it may not be a huge cash injection, every little helps during these challenging times.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE

  1. Click on the Amazon Associates link to sign-up.
  2. It is recommended to create a new account for the purpose of Associates, using a business email for the club.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your account information. Bank details do not have to be entered at this point.
  4. Complete the next section, inputting your club website URL and any mobile apps you might wish to display the link on via ads or banners.
  5. Complete your profile information having read the online instructions.
  6. At the end of the process, you will be given a store-id (or tracking-id) which is your main Associate identifier. This will look something like: ‘example-21’
  7. For any technical queries, there is a ‘Contact Us’ option after you have registered to become an Associate.

TIPS & FAQs

  • It is recommended to create a new account for the purpose of Associates (using a business email for the club).
  • For existing club associate accounts, these can be merged/ converted – please send the Store ID to Amazon via the Contact Us tab.
  • You might prefer to identify a club volunteer who has an interest in computers or marketing, who is familiar with creating and tracking URL links.
  • At the end of the process, a Store ID is created – this is added to the basic affiliate link to create the club’s unique link to generate income.
  • As well as promoting this offer to your members in advance, remind them by emailing the link on match day when interest is high and people will be thinking about the game.
  • Payments timescales will be circa 60 days (month end) and stats on how many signs up have been achieved can be viewed under ‘Reports’ on the user dashboard.
  • Fans who sign up to Amazon on a free trial to watch the Tournament also receive other Prime benefits.
  • There is no expectation for members to stay on Prime past the free trial period. The club will make £3 from every sign-up via the unique link, regardless of whether the member stays on past the trial period.
  • Links can be shared as widely as you wish – not just to club members that sign up. Friends, families and local communities can also help support the club by using your unique link.
