Simon Middleton’s side secured a Grand Slam in front of a record-breaking crowd in his final game in charge. 58,498 fans packed into Twickenham to witness the Red Roses’ first standalone fixture at the home of England Rugby. 

England scored five tries in the first half to make the score 33-0 at the break, but a France resurgence in the second half brought the scoreline to within five points after Lark Davies’ try on the 60 minute mark
