England U18 Women's February squad announced
Head coach James Cooper and assistant coach Ollie Perry have confirmed their England U18 Women’s February camp squad.
The 37-strong Women’s Pathway team convene at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre today (Friday 14th) following on from the second playing opportunity for the new Women’s Player Development Groups (PDG) last weekend.
New inclusions, namely Amelie Bleriot, Alice Grey, Charlotte Heath, Holly Jackson, Lily Pereira dos Santos, Isla Pomroy and Charlotte Wreford, are involved in the three-day camp.
Cooper’s U18 Women’s side return next month for a fixture against Hartpury University on Saturday 8th March in preparation for the 2025 U18 Women’s Six Nations Festival in April. England U18 Women are also set to face Ireland in Dublin on Sunday 30th March before the tournament commences. Fixture and venue details for the 2025 U18 Women’s Six Nations Festival will be communicated in due course.
James Cooper said: “Our principle focus this weekend is for players to demonstrate courage to lead and create winning moments across our training schedule.
“Approaching the peak of our season, we aim to dovetail our courage to tactical principles of always keeping the ball moving through speed and space. Our plans are starting to take shape, and our squad are eager to impress in the coming months.
“Players are acutely aware that opportunities to represent their country are around the corner, and the determination on show in recent college and PDG performances has been very pleasing for Ollie and I. We’re confident that similar resolve will be on show in Bisham this week.”
