Red Roses side to face the Black Ferns
Red Roses head coach John Mitchell has made 10 changes to his starting XV to take on New Zealand in Round 2 of WXV 1.
Marlie Packer returns to captain the side as Hannah Botterman wins her 50th cap for her country. The Bristol Bears prop made her debut for England against tournament hosts Canada in 2017 and earns her 25th start on Sunday.
Amy Cokayne and Maud Muir join Botterman in the front row while Zoe Aldcroft packs down with Abbie Ward in the second row.
Natasha Hunt and Holly Aitchison resume their half-back partnership, with Tatyana Heard and Helena Rowland combining in the centre.
Abby Dow returns on the wing in the back three alongside Ellie Kildunne and Jess Breach – both of whom started and scored against the USA in last weekend's 61-21 bonus-point victory in Round 1 at BC Place.
The returning Packer, Hunt and Dow all scored tries in the Red Roses' 24-14 win over the Black Ferns before the tournament began, with Kildunne also scoring in the game at Allianz Stadium.
Following the conclusion of WXV, the Red Roses will be back in action in March for the start of their 2025 Guinness Women's Six Nations campaign. Take advantage of the Earlybird Offer and secure your spot now: Tickets
