Winners confirmed in Continental Tyres Schools Cup U15 Finals

Plymouth College, St Paul's School, Radley College and Northampton School for Boys all claimed victories at Ealing Trailfinders.

Plymouth College beat Wymondham College in U15 Bowl

Plymouth College 36-10 Wymondham College

Plymouth College lifted their first over national trophy with a commanding win over Wymondham College in the U15s Bowl final.

Wymondham started the brighter, with two tries from Lewis Chambers and Alfie Sparks an early sign of their quality.

However, Plymouth soon responded, skipper Riley Burton leading by example and scoring two fine tries in as many minutes.

The efforts of their captain galvanised the south-western side, and tries began to flow, with their loosehead prop crashing over and Sebastian Sharp streaking down the right touchline before dotting down beneath the sticks.

After fullback James Gates picked off an interception and stormed up the pitch for Plymouth’s penultimate score, it was fitting for Burton to touch down in the last play and clinch his hat-trick.

St Paul's School breeze past Bishop's Stortford High School to win U15 Vase

St Paul's School 32-3 The Bishop's Stortford High School

In the U15 Vase final, a physical performance saw St. Paul’s overpower The Bishop's Stortford High School 32-3.

Although Thomas Appleby put Bishop's Stortford in front with an early penalty, St. Paul’s hit back immediately with a try from hooker Luc Lam.

No.8 Rishab Dhot then shrugged off the Bishop’s Stortford defence to extend his team’s lead before winger Zac Lam burst clear for a brilliant score just before the half.

After the break, St. Pauls picked up where they left off, with a pair of expertly worked rolling mauls seeing Luc Lam record his hat-trick.
The prolific number 2 was not finished there, however, and added another try to secure the win – and with it, the trophy.

Kirkham Grammar School win U15 Plate against spirited Radley College

Kirkham Grammar School 17-27 Radley College

In the U15 Plate final, a Josh Coetzer hat-trick helped propel Radley College past Kirkham Grammar School 27-17.

Momentum in the first half swung this way and that, with Kirkham swiftly answering Coetzer’s first try with one of their own through hooker Jack Kelso.

A sensational Seb Clarke score just after the half seemed to put Kirkham in the driving seat, but Radley were not to be discouraged and wrestled back the lead with tries from Coetzer and lock Henry Harland.

Undeterred, Kirkham looked to mount a comeback with a score from Jack Gillett, but the reliable boot of Thomas King combined with Coetzer’s third try put Radley out of reach.

Northampton School for Boys pip Lord Wandsworth College in U15 Cup

Lord Wandsworth College 5-22 Northampton School for Boys

Northampton School for Boys (NSB) battled past Lord Wandsworth College to emerge 22-5 winners in the U15 Cup final.

NSB convincingly opened the scoring, hooker Joshua Pinney bagging two bruising tries from a solid lineout platform to give his side the early ascendancy.

Lord Wandsworth answered back, left wing Alex Lewis darting his way through after some fine combination play out wide.

However, NSB soon reasserted their authority after left wing Ted Kenyon latched onto inside centre Fin Shields’ kick. Outside centre Howie Barnett-Vincent then raced the length of the pitch to dot down, putting the game to bed.
