Maud Muir
Maud Muir began playing rugby in Oxford and made her way through the England age grade sides before being named in the 2021 Women's Six Nations Red Roses squad.She made her senior debut against New Zealand off the bench in the 2021 autumn internationals and featured in all four matches, earning her first start against the USA at Worcester Warriors’ Sixways home. She started England’s 2022 Six Nations match against Scotland and was part of the team to secure the Grand Slam. In the summer of 2022, Maud moved from Wasps to Gloucester-Hartpury and was later included in the squad for the delayed 2021 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. She featured in the 2023 TikTok Women’s Six Nations, including the Red Roses' Grand Slam win over France in front of a record crowd at Twickenham. Later that year, Maud toured with the Red Roses for their title-winning campaign at the inaugural WXV1 tournament in New Zealand. She was part of the team that won the 2024 Six Nations Grand Slam and the WXV1 title later that year in Canada. She has recently been named in the 2025 Six Nations squad.

The props prop the hooker on both sides in the front row, push against the opposition props and anchor the scrum. The loose-head prop is on the hooker’s left, his head outside the scrum when it engages, the tighthead packs down to the hooker’s right on the inside, shoring up the scrum with strength.
