Lock David Ribbans spent most of his rugby development at South African side Western Province.Born in Somerset West in South Africa, his development saw him named Western Province’s young forward of the year in 2016 as well as being included in the Stormers Super Rugby squad that year. He went onto join Northampton Saints in 2017 and his progress at Franklin’s Gardens saw the English-qualified second row received a first senior call-up to a training squad in October 2020. Ribbans made his England debut against Japan at Twickenham in 2022. He was recently named in Steve Borthwick’s squad for the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.
