Hannah Botterman
Stevenage-born Hannah started out her rugby career aged just four at Welwyn RFC before joining Datchworth RFC, which was no surprise given both of her parents were involved in the game. In fact, Hannah comes from good stock with her auntie, Jane Everett, also an England international prop as was her uncle, Gregg Botterman, who played for England and over 100 times for Saracens. Aged just 18, Hannah her debut in the Tyrrells Premier 15s for Saracens during the 2017/18 season, and her performances saw her called up for England in the Test series against Canada, where she made her debut as a replacement. Hannah started the Tyrrells Premier 15s final, playing all 80 minutes to assist Saracens in becoming inaugural champions. She was one of 28 players offered a full-time contract in January 2019 and featured for the Red Roses in the 2019 Super Series in San Diego. She sustained a knee injury before England's World Cup semi-final in November 2022, recovering to play in the 2023 Six Nations. Later that year, Botterman travelled to New Zealand to help the Red Roses to an inaugural WXV and was recently named in John Mitchell’s squad for the Guinness Women’s Six Nations 2024.

The props prop the hooker on both sides in the front row, push against the opposition props and anchor the scrum. The loose-head prop is on the hooker’s left, his head outside the scrum when it engages, the tighthead packs down to the hooker’s right on the inside, shoring up the scrum with strength.
