Age Grade Registration

Age Grade Registration is an annual process for club players from U6s to U18s. RFU Regulation requires players to be registered online each season, within 45 days of the start of the season or from first joining the club.

This process involves a player's parent/guardian registering them on an annual basis on the RFU's Game Management System (GMS), which is then approved by the Club Registrar.

The process is reviewed and improved every season to make it easier for parents, players and club volunteers.

Parents and Guardians

Existing players

For an existing player, the parent/guardian needs to update their child’s details with any new medical information, emergency contact details and consents, linked directly from their own Personal Profile page.

For guidance on how to complete this process, see the 'How to renew Age Grade Registration Guide' on Community Rugby Help.

New players

New players need to be registered when they join a club. This process is completed by parent/guardians, who will need to create a GMS account

For guidance, see the 'How to register Age Grade Players for a parent/guardian' on Community Rugby Help.

Club Admins

Approving Age Grade Registration

After a parent/guardian has submitted their child's registration, it will be sent to a Club Admin to approve.

For guidance, see the 'How to approve Age Grade Registration (Club Admins)' guide on Community Rugby Help.
