Initially inspired to pick up a rugby ball by his dad, hooker Louie Gulley has been in Chiefs colours since joining the Academy set-up at 15-years-old. He played in both England U20 matches so far this season, against Cambridge and Bath United, and was named in Mark Mapletoft's squad for the 2025 U20 Six Nations.

What is a Hooker?
The hooker is a specialist forward, playing an essential role in the middle of the front row of the scrum, hooking the ball back with the foot. Renowned for being strong and powerful around the park, they are also required to have accurate throwing skills for lineouts.
