Kane James
Exeter Chiefs' Kane James joined the Devon club's setup ahead of the 2023/24 season.He started playing rugby aged seven and has previously represented the Newcastle Falcons' U18 side. He was named in Mark Mapletoft's England U20 Men's Elite Playing Squad for the 2023/24 season and featured in the squad that won the 2024 U20 Men's Six Nations. Kane was recently named in the touring squad for the 2024 World Rugby U20 Championship in South Africa.

What is a Back Row?
The back row consists of two flankers and the No 8. The blind-side flanker wears six and the open-side flanker seven, both specialising in big tackles and winning possession through turnovers. They are fearless, strong and fast to the breakdown. The No 8 secures the ball at the base of the scrum, is an attacking link between forwards and backs and a real force when defending.
