'Women’s and Men’s Premiership (National level) performance data is provided by Opta, part of Stats Perform.
Mandated for Women’s and Men’s competitions at Regional and Counties level, this data is provided by the ‘Game Management System’ through the use of the ‘Electronic Match Card’ tool.
While the entry of match events (scoring events, substitutions etc.) is not mandatory at certain levels, it is highly encouraged. The use of the EMC will provide a player with enhanced statistic performance data which they can share with and compare against other players.
Match event data such as tries, penalties, conversions and more, can be entered by volunteers with EMC administration permissions as the events happen and will be displayed in near real-time forming a running commentary of the match.
Note: All the data that is collected is based on the accuracy of the EMC administrator input.

Home:
- All statistics associated with player based on matches played at home only
Away:
- All statistics associated with player based on matches played at away only
Overall record:
- Specific statistics associated with player based on matches played home and away
- Appearances: number of appearance (matches played in) by player (defaulted to ‘All time’ if no season selected)
- Wins: number of wins the player has been involved in (defaulted to ‘All time’ if no season selected)
- Losses: number of losses the player has been involved in (defaulted to ‘All time’ if no season selected)
- Draws: number of draws the player has been involved in (defaulted to ‘All time’ if no season selected)
Total points scored:
- The number of points scored and the position ranking of the player within the league for the season selected
Total tries scored:
- The number of tries scored and the position ranking of the player within the league for the season selected
Conversions:
- The total number of conversions scored by player (defaulted to ‘current season’)
Penalties:
- The total number of penalties scored by player (defaulted to ‘current season’)
Drop-goals:
- The total number of drop-goals scored by player (defaulted to ‘current season’)
Substitute appearances:
- The total number of substitute appearances by player (defaulted to ‘current season’) and % increase (or decrease) on previous year
Yellow cards:
- The total number of yellow cards by player (defaulted to ‘current season’) and % increase (or decrease) on previous year
Red cards:
- The total number of red cards by player (defaulted to ‘current season’) and % increase (or decrease) on previous year
Season - ‘All time’:
- Total number for the specific statistics since player has been registered on a EMC for GMS and, for elite rugby, on Opta

- Date - date of match played in
- Match - the home and away team names
- Competition - the competition name
- Score - the final match results
- T - the total number of tries scored
- C - the total number of conversion scored
- D - the total number of drop goals scored
- P - the total number of penalties scored
- Y - the total number of yellow cards in the match
