Borthwick hails 'magnificent' Ford performance
England's head coach says Ford is top class.
The Sale Sharks man put in a Player of the Match performance at Stade de Marseille, scoring all of England's 27 points en route to a 27-10 triumph over Argentina in Pool D, and Borthwick was quick to praise his side.
Stats from the win
"I thought George was magnificent, we all talk about his kicking and the points he scored, but the composure and the management he showed is another example of the great leadership within this England team. Not one man wins a game, they all do, and they all done very well. The players trained and prepared well for this game."

He added: George's all round skill set is top class, his ability to run, pass, kick is top class and his ability to think clearly in the highest pressure circumstances is exemplary. When he took those drop goals it felt like he had more time than other players do, and that is a sign of a top quality player."
England had to show resolve after flanker Tom Curry was red carded just three minutes into the Test, and led by captain Courtney Lawes, their defence held firm - denying Los Pumas a converted try until the final minutes - at which point the match had been won.
"The players felt they had been written off a little too early, and I think we are a quality group of players. These players are ready to perform on the biggest of stages," said Borthwick.
"We're pleased with the win and that we stepped forward in some areas. From a coaching point of view our focus now shifts to Japan, who are a team that move the ball really well, they have great speed on the edges and play the game a different way so we will have to prepare very well this week."
On the travelling England fans, Borthwick commented: "The supporters around the stadium were absolutely magnificent. Tens of thousands of fans are going to follow us around France and spend their hard earned money, and we want to make sure they have nights to remember."
