Willis ruled out of Rugby World Cup
Jack Willis has been ruled out of the Rugby World Cup in France through injury.
Willis featured in three of England's warmup fixtures ahead of the World Cup, coming off the bench against Wales and Ireland and starting against Fiji at Twickenham.
Named in England's 33-player Rugby World Cup squad, the 26-year-old made his World Cup debut against Chile in Lille, playing the full 80 minutes and scoring a try in England's 71-0 victor.
Speaking at a press conference, England Men's head coach Steve Borthwick said: "Jack unfortunately suffered an upper body injury in our Test match against Chile. He has been recovering and rehabbing, but unfortunately at this stage he's unable to be fit. What this means is that Jack has left the squad.
"Jack has been an important member of this team. We're really disappointed for him and disappointed that he won't feature in the rest of this World Cup, but we anticipate he will be back on the field very soon."
