Who are the uncapped players in England’s Six Nations squad?
Three uncapped players are included in England Men’s 2025 Guinness Six Nations squad.
Harlequins duo Oscar Beard and Cadan Murley could make their first senior international appearances, having both played in England A’s win over Australia A in November.
Arthur Clark was a later addition to the squad following the withdrawal of Alex Coles through injury, but would make his first appearance for the Senior Men’s team should he play.
Oscar Beard
The centre began his rugby journey at Alton Rugby Club and played for England at School Boys and U18s level.
In June 2021, having played for England U20s, Beard made his Gallagher Premiership debut on the wing against Sale Sharks. That same season, he became a Premiership champion as Harlequins defeated Exeter Chiefs in a thrilling final.
Now aged 23, he has gone on to make 68 appearances for his club, as well as twice playing for England A.
This isn’t the first time Beard has been named in Steve Borthwick’s squad, with his form last season being rewarded with a call up for the 2024 Six Nations.
While he didn’t make an appearance during the tournament, he was selected for England A against Portugal and scored a try in the fixture – a clever line followed by a well-timed step saw him cross the line untouched.
More recently, he faced Australia A and although he didn’t get on the scoresheet, a brilliant out-the-back offload helped to set up teammate Cadan Murley to draw England A level.
Cadan Murley
Murley joined Harlequins’ Academy full-time in the 2017/18 season and made his debut against Scarlets in the Anglo-Welsh Cup in January 2018.
A powerful runner with an eye for the try line, the wing has represented England U18s and England U20s, as well as enjoying a steady rise in the pecking order at Harlequins.
During the 2019/20 season, he scored seven tries in 20 games and, like Beard, became a Premiership champion in 2021, having started the final against Exeter.
Having been the Premiership's top try scorer for the 2022-23 season with 15 tries, Murley was included in several England squads, including England A.
He started for England A against Portugal in February 2024, when he scored a hat-trick, before facing Australia A and scoring twice to translate his try-scoring prowess to the international stage.
Arthur Clark
After playing his junior rugby with Stow-on-the-Wold, Arthur became an integral member of the Hartpury AASE team during his second year at College, earning him an England U18 call-up, and ultimately a place in the Gloucester Rugby Academy.
Excelling at England U20 level, he helped the side to an U20 Six Nations Grand Slam in 2021 and played a part in every game, including playing the full 80 minutes against Ireland, Wales and Italy.
This season he has made nine appearances for Gloucester and was also part of the England A side that beat Australia A, having started the fixture alongside Hugh Tizard in the second-row.
