What is it? ​

Kids First Tag Rugby, is a fast, fun, non contact format of the game. Focussing on the core skills of catch, pass, run and the introduction of a tag as a tackle, whilst fostering personal and social skills in a safe, inclusive environment. ​

All players wear a Velcro belt, including two tags, one on each hip.  The tag occurs when the defending player pulls a tag from the ball carrier, representing the tackle. ​

Who can play? ​

Anyone can play tag rugby, its is open to all ages and genders. Tag Rugby is the preferred game across the primary school environment and is the format of the game for U7s and U8s across Age Grade Rugby.  ​

What to expect? ​

A warm fun, safe and inclusive environment, allowing individual’s to enjoy the fundamentals of rugby whilst developing personal and social skills. ​
