Developing Revenue
It is more important than ever to consider ways to reduce costs and develop and diversify revenue streams. To support clubs in this task, the RFU has created several resources.
Working with Golf Management Group, a purchasing alliance with a proven track record in the sports sector, we have created the RFU Buying Group. The group will harness a collective purchasing power through associations with golf, tennis and now rugby clubs to leverage discounts across a range of off-field goods and services.
Visit the RFU Buying Group website for further information.
The RFU Buying Group also gives clubs access to a Contracts Manager tool, a cloud-based portal (online filing cabinet) which enables you to declutter and reduce paperwork by storing an unlimited number of contracts, invoices, and other pertinent documents securely.
You can drag and drop documents from your desktop, log the contract start and end dates, and crucially, log the notice period required should you wish to terminate service. Contracts Manager then gives you a simple traffic light system which enables you to see which contracts are approaching a critical date. When a contract approaches a critical date, the system will send an alert, and the RFU Buying Group can assist you as to whether to renew, renegotiate, or look elsewhere in the market.
