About Age Grade Rugby

AltText

Age grade rugby is rugby for girls and boys aged 18 and under in clubs, schools, colleges and within the representative pathway. It is player-centered, development driven and supports the wants and needs of young people at its heart.

Age grade rugby ensures every player can enjoy rugby in a safe environment where they can develop personal, social and multi-sports skills. This results in their personal development and their lifelong involvement in rugby and other sports.

This infographic clearly shows the progression of Age Grade rugby, and an overview of the rules and regulations at each age band.
