England U20 Men to face Wales U20

England U20 Men head coach Alan Dickens has named his side to play Wales U20 at Stadium CSM on Friday.

There is one change to the starting side that beat Italy in round two, as Tristan Woodman earns a first start at openside flanker, which sees Greg Fisilau move to No. 8.

Lewis Chessum captains the side and is joined in the second row by Danny Eite. Finn Carnduff is named at blindside flanker, while Archie McArthur and Tim Hoyt are named as props alongside Finn Theobald-Thomas at hooker.

Charlie Bracken starts at scrum half and Monty Bradbury will wear the number 10 jersey. Player of the Match against Italy Rekeiti Ma'asi-White, partners Joseph Woodward in the midfield.

Josh Hathaway and Tobias Elliott are on the wings with Sam Harris rounding out the back three at fullback.  Calum Scott, Asher Opoku-Fordjour, Afolabi Fasogbon, Robert Carmichael, Joshua Manz, Nye Thomas, Louie Johnson and Benjamin Waghorn are the replacements.

“I’m very proud of the players for the way they built on their win over Scotland, when it was evident in patches how we want to play the game, and then turned in a more complete performance against Italy," said Dickens.

“We’re building each week and Wales will present a new challenge. We’ve seen them compete hard for long periods of play against Ireland and Scotland in two close matches, so we know we’ll have to put in an 80-minute performance on Friday in Colwyn Bay.”
