To help clubs make contract arrangements with their playing staff, the RFU has drafted several model contracts.

Contracted Players

Clubs must submit a Multiple Player Contract Information Form to their RFU Registrar before each season. This document provides the RFU with updated contract information for players that are already registered with these clubs. Complete the relevant form listed below and submit it to your RFU Registrar.

If a player enters a new contract or if any of the information originally supplied to the RFU changes, this information must be resubmitted to the RFU on the Multiple Player Contract Information Form within 14 days of the club becoming aware of the changes, as set out in RFU Regulation 14

Registered Player Agents

Clubs or players wishing to engage in agent activity, including any approach, negotiation, arrangement or execution of a transfer or registration, must appoint an RFU Registered Agent.

If an agent has been engaged in the acquisition of a player, Club Registrars must complete the Player Contract & Agent Declaration section when submitting an RFU Registration.

Men’s Premiership clubs

Any players registering with a Men’s Premiership club must also complete the RFU Agent Declaration Form. The club must submit this to Premiership Rugby.
